Dystopia
Modern Sci-fi novels are often set in dystopias -- exaggeratedly negative, repressive, totalitarian worlds. Classic examples of this genre are "1984" and "Brave New World." Newer examples include "Uglies," "The Hunger Games," "Feed," and, in film "The Matrix." What is your favorite dystopian book or movie and why? Do you think modern America has any similarities to these dystopias?
